Palm Beach Gardens Dentistry - Dr. Leconte
It would not be totally fair to say that Dr. Patrick Leconte’s only passion in life is his profession. He loves art in all of its forms, and his deep enthusiasm to help others fits right into the pathway destiny had chosen for him: being a dentist.
“Just doing my job is a great way to help others be better persons and feel good about themselves. That makes me feel fulfilled,” says Dr. Leconte. He also considers dentistry a form of art, because every smile is different. As a dentist, his duty is to work with the frame and bone structure of every patient’s face, to make that smile the right one for each particular patient.
Dr. Leconte’s concept of the profession, along with the profound love he feels for it, comes from his own upbringing, with his artistic mother and his father, a devoted dentist and teacher. At the Lecontes’ home in Senegal, Africa, it was as common to talk about a beautiful painting as it was to comment on a bonding procedure his father worked on during the day. “It was so usual to talk about dentistry at my house, that it just felt natural to enroll in the University of Florida once I had finished my pre-med studies in Brussels, Belgium. I’m honored to have the Doctorate Degree in Medical Dentistry from this university; it was the right school to go to, and Florida was the right place for me to open my practice,” explains Dr. Leconte.
So just one year after graduating, he decided it was time to “fly solo” and open his own practice. He had learned a lot from his father — he taught him to love dentistry as a work of art and healing — and from the doctor he worked with just out of school. It’s been over 10 years since he made that decision, a resolution that today has a well-established name: The Spa for Cosmetic Dentistry.
